Hi, I know that Lync supports Central Forest Topologies (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398173.aspx) Does anyone know if MSFT supports a central forest topology that contains both linked accounts/mailboxes (disabled) and regular enabled accounts/mailboxes/ I cannot imagine why not, but I thought I’d ask as you never know.Oh…and if you say “YES, it does.” Please provide a link to docs Met vriendelijke groeten / Kind regards, Jorge de Almeida Pinto*: JorgeDeAlmeidaPinto@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(: +31 (0)6 184.108.40.206

“Disabled” is the key word. That’s fully supported and documented. Mixing active and linked accounts should not be a problem, I agree with you. Microsoft support has become increasingly vague about what they support, and documentation doesn’t improve (shift to blogs), so you have to ask PSS to get a statement. My position is that every configuration is supported, unless it's explicitly documented as unsupported. I had recent implementations with mailboxes linked to active accounts (Microsoft protested), and mailboxes accessed using SID History (Microsoft agreed), both without major issues.
