Hi.

Please remember that only Conditional DNS forwarders can be AD Integrated.

This could be
the result of the DNS Autoconfiguration process, done during DCPromo. This does NOT
mean that DNS Forwarders are AD-Integrated.

Do you see event
2631 during DCPromo ? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc735772(WS.10).aspx

My guess would be this: since you can use AD replication to replicate forwarders information, the forwarders are stored as AD object. In your case the objects representing the forwarder might have been already present in AD database before
you promoted the DC.

Just curious if anyone experienced this and know what is the cause ? perhaps where can I look for possible cause ?
