| Hi, I've cloned the disks of a Windows 2003 server that is running Oracle with Acronis True Image Echo Server. Now to use it in the same network I think that I have to remove it from domain, change it's name and IP, run newsid tool and finaly rejoin it into the domain, right?

| remove it yes. after that I would just run sysprep and let it do the name changing, sid changing, and ip changing for you.

| Sysprep is the way to go, NewSid is not a supported method.

| Are you sure about that? WDS (Widows Deployment Services) is based off of imaging (aka cloning.)

| I know that! We have SCCM in our environment and i use it for Desktop Deployment and Patch Management plus inventory!
That is one of the questions on the ADRAP - that came directly from their AD guru! Keep in mind that i am NOT saying that its not possible - just not recommendated by MS.
